Art Deco Weekend turns 50. The 50th Annual Art Deco Weekend takes over Ocean Drive in Miami Beach from Friday, January 15 to Sunday, January 17, 2027, celebrating the Art Deco, Streamline Moderne and Mediterranean Revival buildings that define South Beach. Why Art Deco Weekend Matters
Art Deco Weekend is organized by the Miami Design Preservation League, the group that fought to protect South Beach's historic buildings when many were at risk of demolition. The festival is a celebration of that work: a weekend of architecture and history on the street where it happened.

The Pelican Hotel: an Art Deco Landmark on Ocean Drive
The Pelican Hotel at 826 Ocean Drive is one of the Art Deco buildings that give the street its look. Its lobby and cafe were renovated in 2022 by Andrea Rosso, who kept much of the original design, and in 2024 the hotel and its restaurant celebrated 30 years on Ocean Drive. The Pelican Hotel took part in Art Deco Weekend in 2026.
Where to Eat During Art Deco Weekend
Pelican Restaurant, inside the hotel, is open every day from 8:30 AM to 11 PM, so it's easy to fit around tours and talks:
- Breakfast before a morning tour, from 8:30 AM on the Ocean Drive terrace
